So you think you can open an Etsy store??
**Don't forget to enter the CSN Giveaway HERE if you haven't already!!**

Opening an Etsy store seemed like something for
"other" people who were
much more talented or crafty than I was,
but it was secretly a small dream of mine, especially recently!

It's like that an expression of yourself
that you are offering to the world with the chance of rejection.
I think that is what all art is, that is what blogging is in essence as well.

It's like that Anna Nalick song where she says :

2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, its no longer Inside of me, threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them, however you want to
Perhaps that is more similar to blogging our personal lives, or writing a song or poem,
but yet, trying to sell something that you have made is like putting
a piece of your creative brain out into the world
and wondering if people will put their good,
hard earned money to own it?
Can be scary!

I have always had a creative side but I haven't used it in ages! But like Brene Brown said
"Just because your creativity is dormant doesn't mean it's not there"

Do you have a creative dream? Why do you blog? Do you have a goal or is it just an outlet for you?

Give Yourself Permission

and so here are some of the items I am selling....

Mostly the coffee sleeve key chains, with a few other little extras thrown in and I stumbled upon a new idea last night, something amazing that I will be doing a tutorial on for
Little Miss Momma in a couple weeks!
I will tell you when it is up!!

Are there any dreams you aren't
perusing because of fears?
I know I have some!
Fabulous Food Friday
So I thought I would start a tradition with some great recipes once a week as well. I need to expand my cooking abilities anyways. Yes, I am still doing Biggest Loser Challenge. But the problem isn't the food, it's what I DO with the food, right? So here is to enjoying in moderation.

Now if you have ever been to Weight Watchers you may already know this trick, but here I am to share it with you. I had the supplies for a while but just got around to making it this last week. I am calling them

Lightened Up Pumpkin Spice Muffins.
You can obviously make them as a cake as well, but I found them great for breakfast.

The ingredients you will need are:
  • Spice Cake Mix (I have also tried chocolate, I think any will do depending on what you like)
  • small can of pumkin
  • 1-2 containers of unsweetened apple sauce
The trick is: you don't use oil or eggs as the mix requires.
You use the other ingredients I listed instead! Make sure to read the TIP below about the texture issues you might encounter!

Directions:
Combing cake mix, pumpkin and apple sauce in a bowl
Mix
Pour
Bake for 30 min (don't mind the cake's instructions, they need a bit longer because we are using different ingredients!)

It's that EASY!

TIP: I used 2 apple sauce and one can of pumpkin, but I suggest using only 1/2 can of pumpkin. They come out a little gooey. If this happens leave them out, uncovered, and they will dry out to the right texture.

What do you think? Would you try it??

Here is a new SCARFLACE I made.
I also just made up that word!

Scarflace: mix between a scarf and necklace!

I have had this pretty white yarn for a while and wanted it to put it to work.
It was super simple to make, I hope to put up a tutorial later this week!
