Linda Craftaholics Anonymous[7]

Welcome back to

and I am so excited for our first “Celebrity Blogger”!
Her blog is amazing and SOOO succesful so READ CAREFULLY. She is also so nice (ie doing this interview, so go follow her if you don’t already!)
Let’s get started!

  • What is your favorite season and why? fall! so many fun fall crafts and projects!

  • What do you do when you are not blogging? i'm playing with my 2 boys {2 years and 10 months}, crafting up a storm, or running. oh and shopping!!

  • What is one post you are really proud of? my t-shirt pom poms

  • Who are some bloggers you look up to and why? Dana at Made, Jen at Tatertots and Jello, and Kate at Centsational Girl

  • What does an average week look like for you in upkeep for your blog? crazy! i work on my blog during naptime and then after the kiddos go to bed. i'm usually up to midnight every night and then wake up at 6:30am with the baby. {don't worry, i make up for the lack of sleep on the weekends!}

  • What do you think the average blogger doesn’t realize about being a success? the bigger your blog is, the more emails and behind the scenes work you have to do. i've noticed my inbox has changed drastically from when i started!

  • How did you find you niche? i blog about what i love and i love to CRAFT! :)

  • Do you set goals for your blog? not really. i blog for fun! don't get me wrong, it is fun to see big milestones like 10,000 followers or 100,000 page views per month. but no, i don't set bloggy goals. that would make my blog feel like a business and my blogging feel like work. i blog to make friends and something fun to do when i'm not Mom, Housekeeper, Wife, etc.

  • What is something you wish more bloggers knew (in general or specific)? don't take it so seriously!! blogging can be so fun if you don't focus on advertisers and numbers.

  • What is one (or some) of your pet peeves in the blogging world? when i don't get proper credit for my work. i find my pictures and tutorials on blogs and sites and the only credit i get is "here"....and sometimes i don't even get that! makes me feel bad when i work so hard on a project and don't get the credit for it. {the proper way to feature someone's project or give them credit for inspiring yours, is to feature one image and use their blog name in the link. and be sure to link to the specific post/project mentioned. not the homepage!}

  • What are the most important blogging etiquette behaviors? -give credit where credit is due, and-only leave NICE comments. no matter what. the saying, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" is perfect for blogging!

  • What are the most important activities for growing your blog? helping fellow bloggers out, leaving comments, guest blogging, linking up to link parties, and just being a nice blogger get you a long way!

  • What do you do when you have “writers block” or a dry period? take a break from blogging and crafting and just enjoy life. or go to pinterest! ;)

  • Do you have one or two things you would credit the success of your blog to? good pictures. i'm still learning how to take good pics, but i've noticed the better my pictures are, the better my post does.

  • How do you define success? if i'm having fun, then i'm successful!

  • What advice would you give to bloggers who want to grow their blogs? make friends with other bloggers. help promote each other and its a win win situation!

Thank you so much Linda, such great wisdom and advice!
Here is the line-up you have to look forward to hearing form coming up….

  1. Great tips! I have always credited with a link to other products...didn't realize I should use one fof their acctual pictures. Oops. I will from now on, promise! :)

  2. Thanks Linda :) Great advice and suggestions. (She's so sweet!)

  3. Thanks so much. This was a fantastic post and I really enjoyed it. I guess my tip would be to make sure you leave comments on other people's blogs. So many people stop by to read but don't comment and if you do comment, leave some reply info so that we can get back to you and find out more about you!

  4. This interview was very interesting and informative. Very useful for me as I started Blogging in March of this year. Thanks for doing this post. My tips would be to try and come up with catchy headlines and visit other Bloggers and comment on their Blogs. I am a true Follower in that sense of the word. I follow a lot of Blogs but I try to really keep up with posts and participate in Blog Hops etc. Take care and have a good Thursday.

  5. Nice, and very informative. :)

  6. Great series, I love that you're doing this! Your line up looks great and I look forward to learning what they have to share.

  7. Loving the series! :-) Can't wait to read them all! It's so nice be able to get tips from other more seasoned bloggers. It is intimidating being a new blogger!

  8. Such great advice!! Fabulous series!!

  9. These are great tips! I'm new so every bit of info helps. I like this Blogging 101 guest blogger idea. Great idea. :)

  10. As a newbie blogger of 1 month I am very interested in this series! Thank you for hosting it. My biggest question, just how do you become friends with other bloggers? Do you find one that seems similar and ask them if they will mentor you?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please leave your comments and looking forward to getting to know you!!
