Keepin' it Real with Marilyn
Marily Monroe was known as being one of the sexiest women who ever lived. Not that I think she was the end all and the best roll model for all women, but she was a real woman who was thought of as beautiful and desirable, and the girl had CURVES. I randomly came across these photos of her and it just reminded me that beautiful comes in all sizes. I had to add the next one here for all us ladies who have some junk in the trunk. Ha Ha
I said this to my friend the other day when we were talking about how we women compare.
"You do you, let me do me, and lets be happy with who we are."
You don't have to be me, I don't have to be you, when are we going to be OK with this?
Let's appreciate and celebrate one another's different kinds of beauty.
We spend so much time worrying that everyone is scrutinizing and critically analyzing our every flaw (when they could care less or are too busy worrying about their own things) instead of enjoying life in the moment, changing what we want to change, and just enjoy being who God made us, flaws and all!
As Dr. Brene' Brown said:
- Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone; I am enough.
- It’s going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am worthy of love and belonging.
